About Me
Scents of Thyme started as a simple way for me to treat myself to life’s little luxuries. When I discovered soapmaking in 2020, I was instantly hooked! I began experimenting with scents, colors, and textures, and what started as a hobby quickly became a creative outlet I genuinely looked forward to.
Over the years, I became increasingly interested in working with botanicals, herbs, and natural colorants, and in learning how different ingredients affect the skin. When several family members developed varying forms of dermatitis, I began researching formulations for sensitive skin more closely and became even more intentional about the ingredients I used. The more I practiced, the more I appreciated the science behind the craft and the ability to create something both thoughtful and useful for the people I love.
Soapmaking has become so much more than a hobby or a way to pamper myself. I love the process of taking an idea, experimenting with it, and eventually turning it into something that someone else can use and enjoy.

About The Brand
Scents of Thyme soaps are handcrafted in small batches on the South Shore of Long Island, inspired by the sea, sand, and salt air. Each bar is made with thoughtfully chosen ingredients to be gentle, nourishing, and a little indulgent.
Whenever possible, I use filtered seawater from a nearby beach to incorporate the qualities of soleseife, or brined soap, giving the bars a smooth, firm feel and a rich, creamy lather. I also focus on creating soaps with distinctive scents, colors, textures, and details that bring a little personality to the finished soap.
Each soap is scented with pure essential oils or phthalate-free fragrance oils and may include clays, botanicals, or other gentle additives. Every batch is hand-cut and cured for six weeks, with slight variations in color, texture, and design that are a natural part of the handmade process — and of the coastal character that makes Scents of Thyme unique.

How to Care for Your Soap
To prolong the life of your soap, we recommend keeping your soap bar out of the direct stream of water. Allow your soap to drain and completely dry out between uses. Store your soap bar in a dry ventilated area.
